Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.Security Officer PositionsRover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.Gatehouse: Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.ResponsibilitiesAcknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous mannerManage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from premises when deemed necessaryVerify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehiclesDocument and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor's arrivalAssist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and proceduresMonitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behaviorMonitor surveillance cameras and alarmsPatrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risksWarn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited itemsRespond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first respondersIdentify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely mannerEnsures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followedOther duties to be determined by managementQualificationsMust be at least 21 years of age or olderHigh school degree or equivalentValid state licensingProfessional demeanor and appearanceBasic computer skillsMust be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasksStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Minimum of one year of customer service experienceMinimum of one year of security experienceMust be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time#J-18808-Ljbffr
