About the Board The Board governs Nevada's gaming industry through strict regulation of all persons, locations, practices, associations, and related activities. The Board protects the integrity and stability of the industry through its investigative and licensing practices, enforcement of laws and regulations, and holding gaming licensees to high standards. Through these practices, the Board is able to ensure the proper collection of taxes and fees that are an essential source of revenue for the State of Nevada.Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a disciplined and ethical professional with strong judgment, integrity, and communication skills, committed to protecting the community while handling high‑pressure situations with fairness and sound decision‑making.Qualifications Current Category I Peace Officer certification by the Nevada Post Commission.Minimum one year as a Senior Agent in the Enforcement Division.Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, administration of justice, pre‑law, business administration, public administration, accounting, economics, finance, computer science, or other applicable degree.Investigations experience involving white‑collar crime, narcotics trafficking or money laundering, organized crime, intelligence collection, fraud or closely related experience.Professional work experience can be substituted for formal education on a year‑for‑year basis.Responsibilities Primary responsibilities of an Enforcement Division Special Agent include providing supervision to assigned investigators; initiating and timely completing all investigations regarding criminal, intelligence, regulatory, and administrative matters and other areas of interest to the Board and Division; and performing related work as required. The assignment will perform the full range of management duties of a squad in the Analyst Section of the Enforcement Division.
