GBUAPCD ALTERNATE HEARING BOARD MEMBER OPENING
Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District has one opening as an alternate on its Hearing Board. The Hearing Board is an independent quasi-judicial body with the authority to provide variances from air district regulations under certain circumstances. Alternate Hearing Board members are appointed to three-year terms. Alternate Hearing Board members are not employees of the District and are volunteer, non-paid positions eligible for stipends for Hearing Board meetings they are asked to attend. Alternate Hearing Board Members must complete a Statement of Economic Interest (Form 700), as required by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), within 30 days of appointment to the Board, annually, and within 30 days of resignation from the Hearing Board. Hearing Board Members must complete two hours of ethics training every two years; this training is free and provided by the FPPC.
