Overview This position is a patrol position that will enforce laws related to the protection of life and property, direct and control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators.Responsibilities Patrol assigned areas and respond to radio dispatches and citizens' requests for police services.Investigate illegal or suspicious activities and persons; interview and question victims, witnesses and suspects; gather and preserve evidence.Investigate causes and results of accidents; direct and control traffic; issue citations to violators.Write detailed incident, investigation, activity and other reports; testify in court to present evidence by describing conditions, situations and actions.Work special events, various parades and other duties as assigned.Qualifications High school diploma or the equivalent and possess a Peace Officer license certified by TCOLE.#J-18808-Ljbffr
