DATTCO has an opening for a full-time Dispatcher (Split Shift) at our School Bus location in Bristol, CT.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for scheduling drivers and effectively dispatching fixed route service and charters

• Assist drivers with directions and customer itineraries

• Answer routine phone calls from drivers and customers

• Clerical, filing and reporting duties

• Daily use of Outlook, Excel and Microsoft 365 suite

• Daily use of mapping and scheduling programs such as Map Point, Google Maps, etc.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Work well in a fast-paced environment

• Split shift hours based on business needs (TBD 5am-9am & 12:45pm-4:45pm) the ideal candidate will be able to work morning and afternoons with the understanding that this schedule needs to be flexible based on school - days, etc.

Strongly Preferred

• CDL Class B with P and S endorsements

• 2 + years- experience working in the transportation industry

• 2+ years- experience working in customer service
