Summary

Security Officer

The Security Officer position ensures the safety and security of guests, team members, and company assets. This position performs responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures. Patrol and observe all public areas, team member service areas, and company grounds for the safety of guests and team members. Respond to all disturbances. Be aware of your surroundings and prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation if necessary. Observe, report, and respond to all suspicious and unusual situations in accordance with department and company policy. Know and enforce all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Detect and address actions and hazards that may result in liability for the company. Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity. Transport and protect company funds and assets. Maintain a daily log of activities and incidents involving security. Maintain a high level of personal integrity. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to company and security operations. Practice teamwork, support fellow team members, and create an energized and positive work atmosphere. Maintain grooming and uniform standards. Inspect and maintain all company issued equipment. Have knowledge of SDS booklet location for your assigned area and familiarization.

Required qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in both written and verbal form. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Be at least 21 years of age. Be able to accommodate a flexible schedule. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Be able to obtain a basic life support certification once hired (company will provide the training). Be able to complete Graton Resort & Casino's Security Academy once hired. Be able to complete the guest intoxication awareness training yearly.

This job has the following physical requirements: standing up to 100% of shift, walking up to 100% of shift, sitting up to 100% of shift, bending up to 100% of shift, twisting up to 100% of shift, climbing, including ladders up to 100% of shift, kneeling up to 100% of shift, squatting up to 100% of shift, lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. without assistance up to 100% of shift, reaching above the shoulders and other hand arm use up to 100% of shift.
