Dispatcher (WO)The Dispatcher (WO) is responsible for receiving equipment orders and sending drivers to pick up and drop off goods to a wide variety of venues during regular standard and off standard working hours. Accountable for logistics, efficiencies, and communicating essential information to drivers and customers. This position reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager.Key Job ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service:Provide superior customer service and strive to exceed the needs and expectations of internal and external customersMaintain a positive relationship with all drivers and customers through effective communication and interactionEnsure drivers have the necessary equipment to complete all scheduled deliveries and pick-ups dailyCommunicate with customers on deliveries due to delays, weather, and equipment issuesCoordinate dispatch and delivery activities between drivers and customersEquipment Handling, & Maintenance:As needed, assist warehouse team with pulling, receiving, and transportation of equipmentEnsure all equipment is in good condition for deliveriesEnsure order accuracyVehicle Maintenance:Ensure that vehicles are well maintained by scheduling service appointments as requiredEnsure Driver Vehicle Inspection Logs are performed before each tripEnsure general maintenance supplies are on hand (e.g. wiper fluid, DEF, etc.)Schedule mechanical maintenance needs as needed to ensure maximum uptime for vehiclesEnsure that delivery trucks are kept clean, free of debris and maintained dailyGPS/Routing:Ensure drivers are following set routes by dispatch for optimal productionProvide directions from location to location when neededProvide management with reporting on fleet and driversMaintain current fleet and driver information on Fleetmatics systemCreate balanced routes for optimal driver/truck production and fleet efficiencyMonitor live routes for optimal route and traffic conditionConfirm drivers are operating in a manner that consistently reflects Encore valuesKeep in contact with drivers to determine progress and provide alternative directions in cases of rush hours or traffic blocksManaging and Monitoring of manual and/or electronic log booksJob QualificationsHigh School Diploma / GED3 years of transportation or logistics experience (fleet management preferred).Basic Audio-Visual ExperienceBasic Computer SkillsExceptional customer service skillsUnderstand hours of service rules and regulationsAbility to lead the organization in a safe, efficient and caring mannerGeneral knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenanceAbility to give, receive and follow written and/or oral instructionsHigh level of composure and good stress management skillsAlert, focused, and detail-orientedProficient using GPS and other routing systemsKnowledge of CDL / non-CDL rated equipment and thresholdsUnderstanding of air mile rules for both CDL and non-CDL driversHave knowledge and understanding of DOT rules and regulationsAbility to work both independently and cooperativelyGood communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external customersAbility to work safely with high degree of qualityHigh degree of team work with customers, peers, and managersAbility to use and understand automated routing softwareGeneral competencies skills in smart phone useSuperior customer service skillsDemonstrate integrity in all areasA sense of ownership and responsibility for safety and timelinessCompetenciesDeliver World Class ServiceHospitalityOwnershipDo The Right ThingDemonstrates Self-AwarenessDrive ResultsEnsures AccountabilitySee The Big PictureDecision QualityManages ComplexityValue PeopleCollaboratesWork EnvironmentWarehouseWork is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components.
