Sterling Medical is currently looking for Audiology Technicians To work on-site at William Beaumont Army Medical Center Soldier Readiness Processing Center Ft. Bliss At 1717 Marshall Rd, El Paso, TX Audiology Technician Degree: Certificate Education: Completion of an occupational hearing conservationists' course or training and certification obtained through the Army, Navy, or Air Force hearing programs. Experience: Possess a minimum of one year experience within the last two years working as a full-time Audiology Technician. Certification: Certification as a Hearing Conservationist by the Council of Accreditation of Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOCH) is highly desired but not required. Additional Certification: Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross or other approved certifying body emblem. Web-based (on-line) classes are not acceptable by the Government. Duties shall consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Seeing SMs is our top priority; wait time should be kept to a minimum. Shall see the patient per hour average of the other collective CPs, unless affected by circumstances beyond their control, which shall be reported to the Section OIC/NCOIC or designee. Shall comply with all MTF productivity standards and maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services. Shall receive service members, explain methods of procedures, position service members, perform diagnostic radiographic service to service members. Technologists shall perform independent audiology examinations. Shall perform otoscopic examinations and rotate as scheduled. Shall conducts hearing tests in multi-person sound booth using DOEHRS-HC and rotate as scheduled to include sanitizing or disinfecting. Shall restock supplies, maintain, clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments, equipment, and worksurfaces. Shall complete daily function checks & biological calibrations.
