    Located in the beautiful County of Riverside, the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) provides water services to 46,000 customers and 37,000 wastewater customers located in the southwestern portion of Riverside County. Riverside County offers regional diversity that few locations can match between the rivers, mountain peaks, deserts and fertile valleys, the County is rich with abundance; the western region of the county consists of a Mediterranean climate, while the central and eastern regions are predominantly desert or mountainous. Riverside County is home to Joshua Tree National Park and spans from the greater Los Angeles area to the Arizona border. More than two million people live in Riverside County, taking advantage of a high quality of life, affordable housing, and a multi-faceted environment of rolling hills, lakes, rivers, deserts, and forests. It has been one of the nation’s fastest-growing counties for several decades. The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District is seeking a strategic and decisive leader to be the next Director of Engineering. The ideal candidate will excel in strategic planning and provide clear effective guidance to drive organizational improvements. Qualified candidates possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or a related field, and must have ten (10) years of increasingly responsible water and wastewater engineering and construction and project management experience, including five (5) years of management and administrative responsibility.  Fifteen (15) years of water and wastewater engineering and construction and project management experience is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid California Class C driver’s license and a valid Professional Civil Engineer license in the State of California. Candidates with management experience of large, complex, capital improvement programs and possession of a master’s degree are preferred.

     

    The annual salary range for the Director of Engineering is $217,785 - $277,912; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
