Job Summary Performs the functions related to the accounting, reporting, and settlement of Bryan Texas Utilities’ ( BTU ) energy trading activities.
Essential Job Functions - Analyzes, settles, records, and reports on energy and fuel purchase and sale transactions on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Monitors and maintains wholesale energy purchases and sales database.
- Monitors and maintains acceptable credit levels with Electric Reliability Council of Texas ( ERCOT ).
- Processes invoices to and from wholesalers and clients for energy and ancillary services.
- Provides credit analysis support on power purchase counter-parties.
- Maintains receivable ledgers and perform necessary collection activities.
- Monitors and maintains all ERCOT metered ( EPS ) polling points.
- Monitors and maintains all Distributed Energy Resource ( DER ) metered polling points.
- Provides meter data reporting to both DER Clients and ERCOT .
- Creates and maintains supporting paperwork for monthly closing processes.
- Provides necessary management reporting for settlement activities.
- Assists in annual audits as necessary.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Responds regularly and promptly to work.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree plus at least two (2) years of experience in Electric Utility Accounting, Energy Settlements, Energy Trading, Data Analytics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance or a similar field OR an Associate’s degree plus at least four (4) years of experience as previously stated.
Equivalent combinations of related education, experience, training, and certification may be considered.
Licenses, Certifications & Special Requirements Texas Class C driver’s license with a good driving record as measured by the City’s evaluation system.
